Garlic Toasted Pecans aka Farrow Bar Nuts

This tasty snack is one of my husband’s favorites that was introduced to him by an important lady in his life, my mother-in-law, Jamie. I’ve played with different ingredients, making it spicier. However I figured I should at least post the base recipe. Next time I make this with extra ingredients I’ll do a new post.

Thanks again Jamie! I promise to make some for you here soon 😉

Ingredients:

  • 6c shelled pecans
  • 1 stick of butter, melted
  • 1 1/2T garlic salt

Directions:

Pour melted butter over pecans & stir until all are coated. Sprinkle garlic salt over pecans & stir again. Spread in a metal pan. Cook for 1 hour at 275 degrees. Stir the pecans every 15 minutes to ensure they don’t burn. Once cooled, store in an airtight container in a cool spot, maybe the refrigerator.

**Sometimes I end up cooking the nuts for an extra 30 minutes – I just pay attention to how greasy they look.
